Painting in the Wild

We attend a follow the directions and paint class. We had a lot of fun. I was amazed how quickly the paining came together. First lilypads then water. Then make the water move. The take a break for a snack.  I opted to PLAY with my snack and make all sorts of bugs out of toothpicks and grapes. Painting in the flowers. Finally we added dragonflies. While it dried a little more I played with more grapes. When we got home Mom said we needed to go outside and play. We opted to just sit in the clubhouse and play on our phones.

So Much…

School is harder this year! Ugh! I have my moments but finally do my work without much trouble. I had fun buzzing through 8th grade science. I had to build a model for one assignment. I opted to show how eclipses work. B enjoyed learning it again. Our 4-H Club atteneded Farm City Day and played games and spread the 4-H word. It was a fun day. We laughed and played and ate homemade salty ice cream. My new yoga pose. Finally decorating the tree. The cats are leaving it alone. It was fun to put all the old family ornaments on. I realizedI didn’t have that many with my name on them! So we will find a few this year for me!We went to the Decorators Night at the Festival of Trees. I enjoyed seeing our wreath on display. It’s price was $55! wow! My favorite was the Harry Potter tree. We saw one of Santa’s elves. The next day we took Grandma Susie to Brooker Creek where we were helping with a program on insects. We took our collections and then spent time explaining everything to the people that came. I did a great job of actually talking to people! We have been butterfly sitting during a cold snap. This little monarch was released this week now that it is warmer.

Disney Camping

Mom and Dad surprised us with Trail Riding at Fort Wilderness this year. I had so much fun on the horse! Mom had the stubborn horse but controlled him well. Dad’s horse kept snacking on trees. We had to wear these silly hair nets! We carver our pumpkins wiht technology this year. Dad bought this drill attachment that helps gut the pumpkin. All it really did was make a GIANT mess… it flung pumpkin with force all over the motorhome…and MOM!Resorting to the old fashion way! Dad trying to prove that it can be done neatly. A long while later I made a penguin! 🙂 Mom makes us take this same photo every year. This was my favorite golf cart in the parade this year! It was AWESOME !Some of our new friends were camping too and we had a blast hanging out at the beach and swimming in the pool late at night. Someone wasn’t very funny for trick or treating! I had a HUGE haul! We roasted marshmallows at the campfire when Dad was out. He had to go to DC for a few days and missed Halloween proper.

Pumpkin Shooting at 4-H and STEM fair at SPC

I absolutely love when Mom brings in fun targets for us to shoot at! This week we shot at pumpkins for Halloween!
Over the weekend we went to SPC Gibbs Campus to see the October Skies planetarium show. This one is always awesome because the professors and staff go all out for Halloween.  I loved all the decorations and then playing with the sound in the room. I love to whisper and be heard all over. It’s creepy! The next day we went to a STEM fest at SPC. It was kind of fun. I tried the rock wall but got nervous.

Marine Quest and a New Tree

We went to Marine Quest again with our 4-H club this year. We got a lot of the same rotation but they had new material to learn. I loved the microscopes just like last time.  The ducks werent my favorite but it was still neat. I have done the shark lab a few times but always just enjoy seeing the sharks. They had a fun carnivorous plant display this year! I think this was my favorite display! We watched Little Shop of Horrors when we got home and I turned myself into Audry II. “I am mean. I am green. I am HUNGRY!” We went back the next day to Marine Quest and St Petersburg Science Festival. We had a fun time with the crafts.I learned about ocean depths and how to determine the landscape from above water. I got to climb up on the jetski equipped with the gear to check the depths for graphing and plotting charts. On the way home we stopped at Roberts Christmas Tree World and found a new tree this year.

We came home to a snuggly Thunder who watched inquisitively as we put up the tree.Â
