We logged another hike (that makes 3 so far) for the Kids In Parks program. Somehow Daddy and Breighton got super far ahead of us so we just took our own time. I picked the hiking brochure on fall folliage (again) and ferns. I picked up every leaf along the way to compare it to my “map”. I found everything on the map and then started the ferns. I didn’t have much luck finding ferns.

I must have fallen about 20 times because I was dragging my feet in all the leaves on the trail. Finally there was some level ground and I took off running.

Getting so big! Mommy said I am growing up too fast!

We visited an alpaca farm today.

I have a new word… APLACA! I say it perfectly!

I really liked visiting the alpaca, even if it was a short visit.

Big brother hugs are actually pretty awesome!

PIZZA dipped in…

Pickle Juice!

I discovered this at Sweet Tomatoes the other night and I was hooked instantly. Breighton, my loving brother, even asked the waiter at Disney for a side of pickle juice for me to dip my pizza in at dinner. The waiter said it was officially the strangest food request EVER! I beat out ketchup with Mac & Cheese for the oddest request! 🙂 GO ME!

My favorite phrase as of late is; “Me too busy”. If Mommy asks me to do something I answer with a resounding ME TOO BUSY!

I am also obsessed with “money”. I LOVE to have coins in my hands and then put them in my wooden school house. If there is something I can’t have because Mommy says it costs too much money I chime in with “Me have school house, me have money, me use money buy this.”  I am really getting my sentences together, finally!

My hearing hasn’t been damaged by all the baby ear infections I had… I, playing outside, hear a coin drop in the house. I instantly shout out “my money” and come running to claim the cha-ching from the floor!

I am doing fantastic with the potty training.  Mommy still insists I trained myself all because of turtle underwear. I still need Mommy or Daddy’s help with undressing and dressing. The other night I wanted a drink in bed but was denied by the ‘rents until I can do potty completely on my own. (Mommy is grateful I wake up to go potty at night but not grateful she has to get up with me.) So after Mommy told me this, I get out of bed and say “me do it”. I proceed to strip off my pants and overnight diaper, and get on potty. When I finish, I then try forever to get diaper back on; sitting down, standing up, you name it. I absolutely refused to be helped. Finally Mommy asks if I want a pull up instead. I go through four looking for the bear pattern and then say “me like bears. Me no pee on bears”. Mommy coached me through getting dressed and I zip back to bed and fall asleep instantly. I am just stubborn!

Today was the Ironman 70.4 race through Clearwater so our goal was to avoid central county at all costs. We had to go work in the garden this morning and had a fun time with that. Afterwards, on the way out Mommy suggest McGough Nature Park for a few minutes of looking at the animals. The nature center was open and I enjoyed looking at the displays.

My favorite part is feeding the turtles. Last time there were hundreds waiting for food. Today, not that many.

There were lots of turtles on the banks of the pond but when we got close they all dove in the water.

Finally some turtles arrived! The one in the middle kept smacking the face of the big one. He would chase it around and then put his little legs up and wiggle his fingers and smack him in the face. It was actually quite entertaining!

After some nature time we stopped at Haslam’s Bookstore in St. Petersburg and then headed to the Morean Art Center for a fussed stain glass craft class. We all had a fun time making our sun-catchers and can’t wait to see the results in a few days!
