We started out at the Wild Gardens of Acadia and learned all about the flora and fauna of Acadia. I loved all the ferns. Next we drove to Sand Beach. It smelled like dying fish and rotting seaweed. We didn’t last long but had a good time exploring the shoreline.
Up next was my favorite place, Thunder Hole. It was a huge cavern in the rock and when the tide comes in the waves crash and make a thundering sound along with some pretty high water sprays.
We were watching and trying to figure out what waves would cause the biggest pull back and crash.
I thought it was hilarious when people would get splashed.
SPLASH! THUNDER! CRASH!
We finished up the loop with Otter Point and went back to the campground for laundry and packing up. Acadia was a lot of fun! I am slowly adapting to the temperature and think I will survive!
