I had a fun time learning about insects, trees, plants and compasses at the Forest Ecology Clinic for 4H. But my favorite part of the day was learning that I like brown rice cakes with Nutella on them! I ate three! Pardon the serious expression, I was watching a video on how forest fires can help an ecosystem.

We enjoyed a field trip to Gatti Town to tour the pizza kitchen and learn about fractions.

I liked the smell of their cheese.

I had a great time making my own pizza, no sauce. We played for a while while the pizza cooked. It was yummy.

We then drove to Gainesville and visited the Florida Natural History Museum and Butterfly Garden. I LOVE the butterfly garden.

We saw a luna moth.

Everytime I saw a butterfly I didn’t know I ran to the giant book to look it up.

This was was so pretty and stayed on me for a long time.

We enjoyed wandering the museum and I liked learning about all the different bats in Florida too.

I ate my carrots after a long battle but was stuck in a massive stare down with that silly pork. The dinner eventually won and I went to bed. Someday I may eat meat. Just not tonight.

Today we went to Weedon Island and got to look at some samples for the upcoming contest.

We took a hike and learned about tree identification.

I am learning a lot and trying to study for when I am old enough to be in the competition.

We went to return books to the library today and they were closed. They had a sign that the main branch was the only one open. We dropped the books in the box and drive downtown to see what was going on that would cause local branches to close. they had an event where there were a bunch of tables with various things you can learn to do.

We frosted cupcakes.

And decorated them!

We learned how to identify shells.

We learned how to fold the American Flag.

We learned how to sew a button.

We learned how to sword fight!

We learned how to change a bicycle tire.

We also did activities on magic, first aid, using chopsticks and so much more. We had a lot of fun and thought the event was very fun.
