Today I spent two hours making race cars out of things around the house. I didn’t want to do this event during out 4H club meeting but I had a lot of fun working on my own at home.
This is the finished model of a space moon lander.
As Portrayed by Mom and Dad
Krispy Kreme had an event for Interational Speak Like a Pirate Day. If you showed up in costume you got a free dozen donuts. Mommy loaded us in the car and we drove to St. Petersburg for some donut goodness.
We ate the first dozen before we got home and the next dozen before the day ended. We both had tummy aches.
Today we started to tackle our home 4H books. This year I am working in Pre-Flight which is all about aerospace. We started off with a little regular school and then dove headfirst into the book.
We made marshmallow rockets and then drew them and labeled the parts.
Mom and I started building a rocket.
I made a flip book about birds in flight. I was having so much fun I was coloring with two hands!
We learned about the principles of flight and how lowering air pressure makes thinks earlier for flight.
After a marathon session we headed out to our regular 4H club meeting.
We made clip-mobile race cars and sent them flying down a ramp. I had a lot of fun even though I really didn’t want to build the car.
We took a day trip to Legoland to enjoy our season passes when the crowds were thin.
I was excited to see the new hotel is making progress.
I had a great day and tried a few new rides.
I enjoyed some old time favorites.
They had a new train in the kids area.
My favorite part of the day was the Chima section. We snuck up and scared Laval!
