Stone Mountain

After a long day in Nashville we drove another 6 hours to Stone Mountain, Georgia for a few day retreat in the area. We quickly checked into our hotel on property and wandered over to find our seats for the evening laser and fireworks show. Daddy bought us terrace level tickets over the internet so we had reserved seats, unlimited popcorn and a beverage.

Our seats were AWESOME! No sitting on the wet lawn and plenty of room to run around until the show started.

We slept in a little and had breakfast and then headed back to the mountain for the sky ride to the top.

I got a bit scared.

Once we were at the top we wandered all over and played not he rocks.

We found some trees with pinecones and had a good time making a little animal habitat, just in case some animals happen upon the top of this giant rock.

There was a man flying a TMNT kite at the top! How smart!

After a few hours we headed down and took a train ride around the mountain.

We played a game of putt putt.

We wandered around the village and saw a glass blower. I watched in total awe until he dropped it and it shattered into a zillion pieces.

I enjoyed the not-so-big kids rope course while B tackled the high ropes.

After a long day of walking nearly 8 miles we retired to the hotel, swam until sun down, ordered pizza and watched some scary movie on the only channel Mom said was okay to watch.

The pool was freezing cold but we had a good time.

Heading home in the morning! 🙂
