Snow Tubing… Not Really

Today we went out to Hendersonville to go snow tubing. While we still don’t have snow it is cold enough to blow it at night.

IMG_0604

I didn’t want to take the pull lift so Mommy walked me to the top of the huge hill. There goes my empty tube as he hiked up.

IMG_0607

When I got to the top, I panicked. I REFUSE to ride my tube down. We had to hike down the hill. Maybe next year!

Holiday Hiking

While there is no snow there is plenty of frost.

IMG_0462

Bundled up warm for a hike at the Arboretum.

IMG_0464

But first some checking out of the Lego displays inside.

IMG_0466

This was my favorite.

IMG_0467

There were giant Lego structures scattered all over the gardens.

IMG_0468

KOI!

IMG_0474

What does the fox say?

IMG_0480

The ground was frozen and thawing and refreezing and leaving these really nifty ice-cicle type worm structures.

IMG_0481

I wanted Mom to take my photo every 50 feet or less.

IMG_0485

Smiling.

IMG_0497

Posing.

IMG_0499

Posing.

IMG_0500

More Mommy.

IMG_0501

Serious face.

IMG_0503

Turtle on a log.

IMG_0508

The next day we went out to see some waterfalls and the posing continued.

IMG_0513

IMG_0519

Skipping stones.

IMG_0534

Throwing the biggest rocks we could find onto the little icy ponds was really entertaining.

IMG_0541

Day 3 we hiked the trail around the lake.

IMG_0565

I am such a goof. I had to stop constantly to feel, rearrange, pick up or kick something.

Merry Christmas- A little EARLY

Naughty or nice, Christmas came a little early. While Santa won’t be here for a few days we opted to have an early family gift opening so we could enjoy our gifts before we left for North Carolina.

IMG_0404

The house is dark and quiet and ready for the chaos of the day.

IMG_0407

IMG_0408

The sun is up and we are eager to tear into Christmas.

IMG_0411

I got lots of Switch and Go Dinos!

IMG_0415

Lego sets galore!

IMG_0418

Elves… the elves are gone… boo hoo. But before they left they left one last round of toilet paper on our doors and tree.

IMG_0435

Enjoying some of my older toys, since I already played with most of my new ones! I entertained the cats with my speeder raceway.

IMG_0436

IMG_0442

FINALLY Santa Came.

IMG_0447

He even left QR Codes not he gifts! When you scanned them they gave back this information.

IMG_0450

Happy kiddo.

IMG_0454

I got everything I wanted.

IMG_0458

What an awesome holiday. Now to get to bed early for the road trip to Asheville in the morning.

IMG_0459

Almost Christmas Hustle

We have so much to do before Christmas. We had another Defenders of Nature meeting today. We cleaned up the mangroves at a local park.

IMG_0387

Then we played with out friends on the playground for a while before heading off to knish the prep for my presentation for gifted class.

IMG_0393

I gave a great presentation. I read my notecards very well. I am starting to get more comfortable in front of others, slowly.

IMG_0397

We stopped at the grocery store after class and I refused to walk on the white times in the store. Mommy said I looked goofy but I was having a lot of fun!

Caladisi Island Getaway

Today we took a boat ride with our friends Jamison and Curtis out to Caladisi Island for the day. They dad dropped us off at the dock and then came back for us at sunset.

IMG_0330

We had a great time zipping down the inter coastal waterways and out to the island.

IMG_0333

IMG_0336

It was warm but breezy on the island. We hiked through the sandhill flats and palmetto bushes.

IMG_0342

We played on the beach and despite it being about 55F outside we all were soaked from running back to the water for sand castle supplies.

IMG_0344

We made sand angels!

IMG_0351

Wet pants working on our structure.

IMG_0355

Goofballs!

IMG_0357

We worked for several hours on our amazing castle thing.

IMG_0359

More hiking in the inner island.

IMG_0360

They do prescribed burns on the island so a lot of the brush was charred.

IMG_0361

When we returned to the mainland we headed to the playground to toast marshmallows and hang out with more friends.

IMG_0372

As we were leaving (nearly 10pm) to come home, Santa on a firetruck pulled into the lot. I told Santa I wanted a Monster High Doll for Christmas.
