Niagara Falls

I could have stood in front of the window in our hotel room the entire trip and been a happy camper. I loved looking out at all the things going on at Niagara Falls. The view was amazing.

IMG_0429

I was so excited to ride on the Maids of the Mist. I started out by declaring that I don’t like MIST!

IMG_0430

I also don’t like BLUE raincoats!

IMG_0206

I for sure don’t like WIND! Or MIST!

IMG_0431

I did NOT like Maids of the Mist. Okay, maybe a little when Daddy or Mommy were holding me.

IMG_0437

I don’t like ice cream either! I only wanted an empty cone. What a grump I am today!

IMG_0445

IMG_0210

A smile! A real smile! I loved riding the elevator up to the top of the Skylon tower.

IMG_0453

I liked pointing out things and playing I-Spy with Mommy and Daddy.

IMG_0457

IMG_0458

We even found dinosaurs!

IMG_0212

The highlight of the trip today may have been the elephant outside of RainForest Cafe.

IMG_0469

We had fun playing in the park before dinner.

IMG_0475

Shooting Breighton the eye roll. My brother is so silly sometimes.

IMG_0222

We were trying to catch the koi!

IMG_0225

This is our hotel. We were on the 17th floor!

IMG_0229

Burning off some energy before we sit down for a nice dinner.

IMG_0478

I had a lovely pasta dinner. I started to get a bit grumpier after dinner. We all curled up and waited for the fireworks to start after sunset. I was really tired and just wanted to go to bed. I was asleep on Mommy by 8pm! I woke briefly for the fireworks then Mommy put me to bed next to Breighton. I tossed and turned for a bit and then an hour later I woke up vomiting. I threw up all night until about 4am. Mommy tended to me while everyone else snored away. Daddy woke once but slept through the rest.

IMG_0482

I felt a bit better in the morning but refused to eat much. No clue what hit me but it hit me hard. Fortunately, I don’t ever get sick for long.

I enjoyed the hydroelectric power plant.

We left Canada and stopped by Geneva-on-the-Lake for donuts and arcade fun. I perked up in the arcade and won a stuffed puppy so that made me feel better. Mom and Dad were worried the sickness may have been from the tick bite so they called the doctor. All was fine so we proceeded back to Poland to Great Granny’s house for our visit.

Mill Run, PA More Jellystone

We extended our stay here in Mill Run and cut out the camping in Buffalo, NY near Niagara Falls. We needed some downtime and relaxation so we changed things up a bit. I was a bit out of it. This was due to a tick bite on my shoulder as we were leaving Kentucky. I was just not happy. Mommy and Daddy got said tick out of my shoulder finally but I was still a grump. I need a good nights sleep.

IMG_0159

IMG_0163

Not even happy to be riding a train.

IMG_0169

I did enjoy the carousal a bit. But just a bit!

IMG_0377

IMG_0379

I preferred snuggle time with Daddy over hunting for bugs.

IMG_0381

IMG_0382

The next day I perked up a bit and wanted to go swimming. At first I didn’t want to go so Mommy didn’t have my swim vest. I was confined to the stairs. But I still had fun!

IMG_0386

IMG_0388

After swimming I was exhausted again and wasn’t too thrilled for the firetruck ride. It was loud and crowded. I eventually smiled.

IMG_0393

IMG_0180

I finally enjoyed some playing in the woods and a few crafts.

IMG_0188

I liked watching the fire. it was warm and I was cold!

IMG_0194

Seeing Ohio Pyle waterfall was pretty neat. I liked dropping leaves into the water.

IMG_0399

IMG_0400

Look an actual SMILE!

IMG_0403

Hiking at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water was also a good thing.

IMG_0404

IMG_0412

IMG_0419

Almost a genuine smile!

IMG_0424

We wrapped up an amazing time in the pop-up with a campfire and relaxing and playing games for a bit. Everyone was asleep before the sunset!

IMG_0428

Welcome to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky!

I was super happy to see Grandma Joe and Grandpa Howie at the campsite when we checked in at Mammoth Cave Jellystone. We had a nice dinner and then relaxed with a movie and lightning bug chasing. The next morning we were up early and out to see the caves. I love deer and this deer was there to greet us at one of the cave entrances.

DSCN0777

I was amazed with the size of the caves.

DSCN0812

This guy was a tad on the boring side but it was interesting either way.

DSCN0813

I saw some cool bugs and this salamander.

DSCN0818

Shortly after we entered the caves… I fell asleep! Mommy and Daddy took turns carrying me around.

I missed the bat and was super bummed because I really wanted to see a BAT!

I loved playing in the pool at the campground and even enjoyed the BIG water slide. Mommy and Daddy took turns catching me at the bottom. I had to ride down all by myself on a mat. I loved it!

IMG_0367

Next we are off to Mill Run, PA!

Welcome to near Jackson, Mississippi

We arrived at our first of many Yogi Bear Jellystone Campgrounds. I am loving the pop-up. I am a nightware at bedtime but it seems to be getting better now that Mommy just gave up and I have my own bed.

IMG_0268

I love playing in the woods and enjoying all the nature.

IMG_0272

I caught a bunch of frogs!

IMG_0278

So proud that I am finally catching things on my own.

IMG_0281

Breighton showed me how to hang upside down to dip my net into the murky lake.

IMG_0283

We stayed for hours fishing out bugs, fish and other “things”.

IMG_0286

I wasn’t quite sure what to think of Yogi and Boo Boo Bear.

IMG_0290

IMG_0293

A really didn’t like Breighton trying to hug me.

IMG_0295

I did LOVE craft time! I colored a dinosaur bobble head!

IMG_0305

I tried to play putt-putt but I got to hot and opted to sit with Mommy in the shade.

IMG_0308

Daddy got back from the car dealership and two new tires in time for us to go to the Petrified Forest.

IMG_0309

I liked all the cool wood.

IMG_0313

I liked running as fast as I could all around the trails.

IMG_0315

Daddy tried to point things out to me with little success. I just wanted to RUN!

IMG_0318

We mined for gems.

IMG_0326

I found a rainbow rock and Woofie likes rainbows!

IMG_0346

Taking a dip in the murky water. I found HUNDREDS of little clams.

IMG_0355

This is just one shirt full of them.

IMG_0357

IMG_0358

IMG_0360

We took a tip in the pool and water park and tried to stay cool. I hate packing up but we must move on. Next is Mammoth Cave!

New Orleans

Even though I first acted as if I would die if I ate them I scarfed down 3! … I think it is fun to annoy Breighton so much he can’t sleep.

Ready, Set, VACATION! I absolutly LOVE New Orleans. I get lots of junk food! I loved the snowballs from Hansen’s.

IMG_0204

The Mississippi River was kind of nasty looking.

IMG_0206

I loved wandering around downtown. We took a horse drawn carriage ride around the French Quarter.

IMG_0208

We ended our downtown trip with a visit to Cafe’ Du Monde for beignets. Do you think I was willing to try new foods? YUP! I will try anything covered in sugar!

IMG_0213

It got on my arm and I couldn’t let it go to waste.

IMG_0214

IMG_0216

Petting a hissing cockroach.

DSCN0747

I liked the underground bug tunnel.

DSCN0749

We even got Mommy to eat some BUGS!

DSCN0753

I loved the “chocolate Chirp Cookies”. The chocolate covered crickets were great as well.

DSCN0754

So proud that we ate the bugs!

DSCN0764

They even had a butterfly area. Some of the butterflies were as big as Daddy’s hand!

DSCN0770

DSCN0772

Next we hit the streetcars. There was a back up so we ended up with a car all to ourselves. We rode all the way down to City Park.

IMG_0228

Such fun!

IMG_0230

Mommy walked with us to StoryLand while Daddy rode the streetcar back to fetch the car.

IMG_0231

It was kind of creepy but we had a fun time.

IMG_0236

IMG_0237

We hunted down some crawfish for dinner and then hit Cafe Du Monde for desert! YUMMY!

IMG_0239

Day three we visited a plantation and went to play in the bayou.

IMG_0245

It was raining in the bayou and the alligators were all over the place. They were even on the pathways! It was scary but Mommy held my hand so tight I thought my hand would fall off!

IMG_0246

I didn’t want to walk under the umbrella.

IMG_0248

Gator over my head int he water. Some of the gators were a good 8-10 feet long!

IMG_0250

IMG_0254

Back at the KOA campground and having fun in the drizzle on the little playground. The pool was too hot to swim in. We took a quick dip and then a cool shower.

IMG_0257

Ready for bed after a long few days… where are we off to next… no one knows!

IMG_0262

Night night.

IMG_0263

We got a crack in the windshield as we arrived in New Orleans.

IMG_0141

Daddy found this tonight. I think we have a change in plans. We shall see.
