As Portrayed by Mom and Dad
I am such a nutter. I have been giving Mom a LOT of issues about school this year. She went through this with B at age 7 too. I finally will do my reading or writing but I love to give lip and talk back. Today I eagerly started my history reading, upside down!
We had a rainy drive out to Crystal Springs Preserve for a class on microbes.
We got there and it was still pouring but the skies dried up shortly after our arrival.
We learned all about microscopes.
Then we got to use the microscopes to look at different samples. I really liked looking at the newspaper.
We went on a hike and collected water samples.
Then we put the water into centrifuge tubes and spun them on a string.
Next we put the tubes under the microscopes to see what critters we found. I had all sorts of amoebas, nematodes and a water bear.
I would have spent days looking at different samples. I can’t wait to repeat this at home.

We had friends over for the afternoon and then went out to eat at Chopstix with them. I ate two servings of noodles and then headed up for dessert. I think I got all the pudding in the restaurant. Plus jello and a donut.
For some reason when Dad goes out of town I can’t sleep well. I sat up with Mom for a while and watched the news. I think she was trying to make be so bored I went to bed. It didn’t work. I finally ended up crashing on Mom on the sofa sometime around 11pm.
What is possibly better than TV? Watching the embroidery function on the sewing machine. It was really neat to watch how it stitched and all went together. 
Mom is working on something for Halloween.
We stopped for lunch and a snack on the way home from Venice today. I didn’t want dessert because nothing really appealed to me. When Mom got a vanilla malt I wanted to try it. I stole it and drank half before giving it back.
Maybe I will like ice cream someday!
