Mom signed us up for a woodcarving class in Safety Harbor at the History Museum. I was too young for the class but they let me take it as long as Mom stayed and helped me for safety reasons. Â Restarted with a relief carving of a boat.
I liked using the different tools.
It was a lot of work but I kept with it.
After our first 3 hour class I had a really cool piece of artwork!
The next week I wanted to do another relief carving and picked a cobra. This was a multi week project. First I did the stop lines and then started the relief carving.
Next I got to wood burn on some details.
The instructors are a very nice elderly couple. He is the woodcarver and she is the wood burner.
I really loved the wood burning. I learned lots of techniques.
Then I got to paint my cobra.
Up next was more wood burning for me. I worked on a neat wolf and eagle photo.
I am loving this class quite a lot!
