Year: 2013

Today we went to a class at the Science Center of Pinellas to learn about Physics. We learned all about Newton’s Laws. The bear not he card dropped right into the glass because the gravity was pulling it down.

I even sat at a table with other kids. That was a big move for me. I am finally becoming comfy with other kids my age.

We learned about a lot of forces: gravity, centripetal and the force of 20 crazy kids!

We had a building contest and then they came and blasted an air cannon at the buildings. It was HILARIOUS! This is my new friend, Jimmy! We worked really well together!

We woke up to Daddy making green shamrock pancakes to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. While he was making them, we raced around the house to see who could dress the most in green! I won, by a little margin. How silly!

After breakfast we spent some time at the park in the warmer weather flying out new kites.

We had some downtime for reading. B even let me snuggle up in his bed to read.

After lunch we made homemade candy dots.

We really got into the dots.

Then we went nuts and made all sorts of crazy shapes!

What a neat project! 🙂

Breighton has been going to 2 hours of karate lately which leaves me two hours of hanging out with Mom at the Long Center. Everyday before we leave for class I rummage through my room to find something to “entertain me” for the time. Today it was FREEEEEEZING in the gymnasium. They were doing some varnishing and the doors were open. By the time B finished class I had on 2 jackets and a hat. I kept busy the entire time playing with the my dragons and manta ray and my magic box!

Today, when B was at his class, Mommy and I went caterpillar hunting at the local park. We didn’t find any at the first park so we tried Souel Park in Clearwater. No luck on the Caterpillars but we did find a few HUGE gopher tortoises cruising around. We followed this guy for a while and I even gave him some grass. He gobbled it right up!

Thunder was going nuts one day recently and Mommy finally figured out that a bird was building a nest in the palm tree outside the front window.

Thunder just sat and meowed and meowed and meowed. He didn’t like the invasion.

The nest is coming along.

A few days later 2 eggs appeared!

2 weeks later there were baby birds.

The birds got a lot bigger.

Eventually the birds left the nest (one didn’t make it). We now have one extra mourning dove flying around!
