St. Louis Zoo

It must be summer vacation time. Mommy was driving us to the zoo and a rock came out of no where and cracked the windshield. According to Dad, who was NOT in the car at the time, the rock calmly fluttered towards the windshield with MORE than adequate reaction time yet Mommy failed to swerve. Oh well, we will get it fixed at our next extended stop.

There was a new baby elephant at the zoo. This photo shows the mama, an older baby and the new baby. Mama elephant, Raja, has had 6 babies at the zoo!

I am not sure if I am a dung beetle?

IMG_7338

Mommy wants someone to make Breighton and me one of these quilts! (Daddy wants Mommy to make it… Mommy said she doesn’t have the time!)

IMG_7339

I found a HUGE blue morpho butterfly.

IMG_7340

Not sure what kind of butterfly this is but I really loved it.

IMG_7341

I was in stitches over the fact that everything was named Emerson. Although I told an employee that they spelled it wrong, it should have TWO of the letter M.

IMG_7342

This goat was SO funny. He stood on the bence and then POOPED!

IMG_7344

PENGUINS!

IMG_7351

I got to pet lots of stingrays.

IMG_7354

I downed an ENTIRE bag of cotton candy.

IMG_7355

The sea lion show was my favorite part of the day.

IMG_7356

After the show I got to go down really close and visit with him. He weighs about 480lbs!

IMG_7359

I had a great time at the zoo and even convinced Mommy that I needed a sea lion Build A Bear. We bought Breighton a meerkat Build A Bear as well.

Today’s Randomness

I wanted to work on my puzzle before breakfast today. I am getting closer to finishing it!

IMG_7317

Snuggle time with Mommy on the wagon ride at Purina Farms.

IMG_7327

Some cool rock structures we found in Eureka, MO.

IMG_7329

You weren’t allowed to go in them anymore. There was a mile stretch of road that was lined with similar dolomite rock structures.

I’m hot and cranky and want to go back to the hotel. 97F??? UGH!

Purina Farms Dog Show (Part 2)

This was by far my favorite part of the visit to Purina Farms. They had dogs that played frisbee, ran obstacle agility courses and even would dive in the water!

This dog was cooling off in the pool.

I just sat and watched in total awe. I never knew a dog could do these things.

DSCN2484

All the dogs are rescues from various places all over the USA.

I had such a great time at Purina Farms!

Purina Farms in Missouri (Part 1)

Today Mommy and I visited Purina Farms. You have to call ahead and make reservations. It is free to visit and gets VERY busy because of this!

They had a play area barn. I loved crawling through tunnels and swinging on the ropes.

DSCN2461

I really enjoyed playing with the corn table and driving all the trucks around. They had kid sized tractors to drive but sadly I was too tall!

DSCN2464

We saw lots of sheep.

DSCN2468

Many many ducks and chickens.

DSCN2469

MOOOOO! Lot’s of cows!

DSCN2471

The pigs in the petting zoo were very rough feeling.

DSCN2472

I LOVED the bunny! It was SO soft. I now want a bunny.

DSCN2473

We watched a cow milking demo. I wasn’t interested in milking the cow. I was too hot and wanted to go back inside of the air conditioned building.
