Vertical Ventures

Today we went to Vertical Ventures in Tampa for some indoor rock climbing. I refused the harness and only wanted to free climb. I would go about half way up the boulder and then dive off to the squishy springy floor below.

B kept climbing to the tippy top!

I eventually got up there with some help from Breighton. Mommy had to climb up and carry me down. At least I made it up!!

Weedon Island Invertebrates Class

We went to wander around at Weedon Island today before 4H. We stumbled upon a fun class on invertebrates.

I loved the naming of the animals. Mommy was really surprised how many I could name!

Then we designed out on invertebrates.

I finished early and looked at this shell display for a good 15 minutes.

This is my animal: Keeka.

I was so proud of my design. The instructor said it was amazingly creative for a 5 year old. She was also surprised that I was so inattentive to a class designed for 10-14 year olds.

After we finished the class we took a long hike on the boardwalks. We found an armadillo wandering in the underbrush.

What a fun silly day in nature.

Science Center Physics

Today we went to a class at the Science Center of Pinellas to learn about Physics. We learned all about Newton’s Laws. The bear not he card dropped right into the glass because the gravity was pulling it down.

I even sat at a table with other kids. That was a big move for me. I am finally becoming comfy with other kids my age.

We learned about a lot of forces: gravity, centripetal and the force of 20 crazy kids!

We had a building contest and then they came and blasted an air cannon at the buildings. It was HILARIOUS! This is my new friend, Jimmy! We worked really well together!

St. Patty’s Day Silliness

We woke up to Daddy making green shamrock pancakes to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. While he was making them, we raced around the house to see who could dress the most in green! I won, by a little margin. How silly!
