After a few weeks of sitting not he edge of the pool and watching the teachers I told Mommy I was ready to learn to swim. I watched a really nice lady, Miss Ashley, for eventually started to talk to her and warm up to her. Mom signed me up for Miss Ashley’s class starting the next day. When I got there, there was no Ms. Ashley! I was in complete shock and scared. I eventually went in but would NOT talk to the teacher, Mr. Jimmy. I tried swimming a few times but he made me put my face in the pool.

I swam to the wall and REFUSED to do more!

I spent the rest of the lesson riding on Mr. Jimmy’s back. He was so patient with me.

What a great day for a trip to the zoo. There were all sorts of new babies born in the last few months. We found two baby bats!

  

The cutest baby elephant. I just wanted to watch her all day long.

There was a baby pygmy hippo but we couldn’t get a good picture of her. Instead we headed to the merry-go-round and went round and round until Mommy turned a nice shade of green.

On the way home I had a Frosty from Wendy’s. I loved it! That is, I loved it until Mommy said it was ice cream and then I refused to eat any more of it. Ain’t I a stinker!

It’s raining outside. The perfect day for pajamas and art. We drew trees and then made it rain on them.  

Then we played outside in the rain. We had a water squirter fight. We built dams in the water. We collected mutant ooze samples.

This is what homeschooling is all about!

This was my first year on the JrFLL Lego team. We wrapped up our year with a nice trip to Legoland for an expo.

We even won a trophy.

Our research was on Super Seniors and what has changed in the last 50 + years. Our team chose the telephone.

We had a few mini competitions and building activities.

I got teamed up with my friend, Camdan.

We built a “Dog Spaceship”

We got interviewed by the judges.

We got to do a scavenger hunt and have some time to play and go on rides. I just wanted to go not he safari ride and huge the dinosaurs.

What an awesome team!
