Stuffed Animal Sleepover

We had a great time at the Stuffed Animal Sleepover Storytime at Poland Library last night. They read a few books and we sang some songs.

We kissed our animals goodnight and then…

IMG_4396

…we tucked them in for the night.

IMG_4398

After we left the animals got into all sorts of trouble and had all sorts of adventures. We came by this morning to pick them up and have a donut and juice with them for breakfast.

IMG_4403

The staff gave us each a photo sheet with pictures of the adventures our animals took.

IMG_4405

Ohio Shenanagins!

I am having fun painting and being crafty. This is a paint your own dino that I bought at the Field Museum and I have been waiting FOREVER to paint it.

IMG_4281

The next day I painted some other animals that we could for a $1 a kmart!

IMG_4288

Mommy helped me finish up the dinosaur.

IMG_4291

We have been playing outside a lot and enjoying the awesomely cool weather.

IMG_4293

Sometimes I even get along with Breighton! SOMETIMES!

IMG_4298

MY TREE TEE-PEE FORT! It is complete with flooring, a chair and a birds nest (we found in a nearby tree).

IMG_4299

I have been finding all sorts of nature to show to Grandma Susie. I certainly have missed her.

IMG_4315

We visited Boardman Park and drive the little bikes and cars.

IMG_4322

We took a few nature hikes int he woods.

IMG_4323

We geared up to catch lightning bugs a few nights, complete with black pants so we can sneak up on them better.

IMG_4329

IMG_4331

This is my protection staff. I am a little ninja!

IMG_4334

Yeah, lightning bugs galore! We caught about 100 in a hour.

IMG_4345

We made homemade lemonade.

IMG_4351

We made a lemonade stand and each made $3.75!

IMG_4352

We went hiking in Poland Woods to visit the huge trees and play in the river.

IMG_4361

IMG_4363

Trying to hug the tree.

IMG_4365

Look Mom a window!

IMG_4367

I liked to draw pictures of what I saw in my nature journal. When I showed it to Mom later I told her that this was a book of monsters I defeated along the way.

IMG_4371

I watched Breighton play in the river and catch Crawfish. I eventually waded in but didn’t like the wet feeling on my feet.

IMG_4377

COLUMBUS ZOO

We visited Cousin Anne and John in Columbus. They have swans in their pond that they take care of all year long. The swans have TEN cygnets this year.

IMG_4246

IMG_4247

Breighton and I got into a lot of trouble with our sassiness and fighting so we had to sleep on the floor!

IMG_4249

The next day we were in a better mood and earned back our trip to Columbus Zoo. I couldn’t wait to see the polar bears!

IMG_4253

IMG_4255

They were so cute! I wanted to watch them all day!

IMG_4259

We pet and brushed goats. Mommy said this is probably the only use for Spongebob Squarepants she could think of so far! GOAT FOOD!

IMG_4262

More giant animal statues.

IMG_4265

IMG_4267

Conversing with our kind is always fun.

IMG_4269

I pet an OPOSSUM!!!!

IMG_4270

I had a great time riding all of the kids rides.

IMG_4276

I love the mini teacups the most.

IMG_4279

We loved the zoo and I was so glad that we got to visit.

Fair Oaks Farm

**WARNING: There are a few graphic photos***

We took a trip to Fair Oaks Farm today. We were chilly when we got there and asked Mommy for our jackets.

IMG_4189

IMG_4191

I love my big brother. Today he was actually nice… most of the time!

IMG_4193

We took a bus tour of the dairy farm. For safety of the cows we are not allowed to have any contact with them.

IMG_4195

We drive part way through the feeding barns.

IMG_4198

We saw some week old calves. I was sad that they weren’t with their mommies anymore.

IMG_4199

They have the largest milking carrousel in the US. It holds 72 cows and takes 8 minutes for a round trip.

IMG_4203

After the tour of the dairy farm we went to the play area and had fun. This was called the “String Cheese Maze”.

IMG_4206

We raced tractors. I couldn’t quite figure it out.

IMG_4214

They had a giant inflatable pillow you could jump on.

IMG_4216

The street light changed to yellow and we headed over to the birthing barn. There is a street light that tells what the cows progress is: red-nothing, Yellow-Hoves and Green- RUN It’s a comin’!

We got a great seat right in the front.

IMG_4217

There were two cows in the birthing stalls.

IMG_4220

Here comes the amniotic sac.

IMG_4221

HOOVES!

IMG_4225

Mom then started the video camera as the other cow was further along and the staff came in to help the calf out of the mama. Below is the first baby born of the day in the birthing barn. It was born at 11:13 and weighted 84lbs!

IMG_4229

YEAH baby cow!

IMG_4230

We went back out to play for a while and I wanted to go back and check on the cow later.

IMG_4234

We had milk from the farm.

IMG_4238

Awwww, baby cow!

IMG_4239

We each bought a stuffed baby calf.

IMG_4240

We had an awesome day. I was so happy to see the baby calf born. I wanted to stay and watch more but Breighton wanted to go play.
